Why are E-cigs so Popular?
Everyday more and more E-cig commercials are appearing everywhere. From TV ads to the Internet the popularity is definitely growing!
Its a simple fact - real tobacco cigarettes have hundreds of toxins and crazy chemicals that we cant even pronounce in them. So its no shocker that with modern technology they made a replica of the real thing - WITHOUT ALL THE CRAP! Its frustrating knowing that we landed on the moon over 40 years ago and are just now creating "fake cigarettes". But "fake" is for sure in the eye of the beholder. Nevertheless, an e-cig is arguablly one of the best gadgets made in the modern era.
I myself still enjoy smoking -and have found some of better e-cig solutions online - but now I dont have to slowly kill myself doing it. They contain Nicotine but after scowling the internet I found that Nicotine is as harmful as caffeine or sugar. I am no doctor but I do have enough common sense - as do you - to know that eliminating hundreds of harmful chemicals and sucking in vapor mixed with nicotine is far less degrading on my lungs! BUT people still love to hear this stuff from a educated spokesperson so here you go! :

Electronic cigarettes: A safe way to light up?What are electronic cigarettes? Are they safer than conventional cigarettes?
Answer from Lowell Dale, M.D.
"Electronic cigarettes, often called e-cigarettes, are battery-operated devices designed to look like regular tobacco cigarettes. Like their conventional counterparts, electronic cigarettes contain nicotine. Here's how they work: An atomizer heats a liquid containing nicotine, turning it into a vapor that can be inhaled and creating a vapor cloud that resembles cigarette smoke.
Manufacturers claim that electronic cigarettes are a safe alternative to conventional cigarettes. However, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has questioned the safety of these products. When the FDA analyzed samples of two popular brands, they found variable amounts of nicotine and traces of toxic chemicals, including known cancer-causing substances (carcinogens). This prompted the FDA to issue a warning about potential health risks associated with electronic cigarettes.
Until more is known about the potential risks, the safe play is to say no to electronic cigarettes. If you're looking for help to stop smoking, there are many FDA-approved medications that have been shown to be safe and effective for this purpose".
I am not recommending e-cigs in the search of the "stop-smoking" solution. I am a smoker (or former smoker) that still enjoys the sensation of the effect. Regardless, real tobacco cigarettes are - and can be - a thing of the past. Good Luck with finding the best e-cig for your needs!
